AS350 Seatbelt Clip
prusaprinters

A small clip for use on the front seatbelts of AS350 helicopters to tidy up the loose ends of the seatbelt and prevent them from flopping all over the place. Keep those belt ends out of your VR window, and more importantly, away from the base of your collective (I've had the doubled-over belt end wedge itself between the back of the base of the collective and the back of the collective housing, preventing me from being able to raise the collective past a certain point — not fun to encounter when your head is out the window, focused on flying the load)!

Comes in two flavors, regular and narrow, depending on how much you'd like it to grip the belt/how easy it is to slide around and adjust. The clip is only designed to hold two passes of the seatbelt (three won't fit in either version; see photos).

Open and close the clip by flexing the gate to either side of the nose.

Print Recommendations:

Use PETG or a similar semi-flexible material.

While a 0.6mm nozzle is an option, I've found it prints best with a 0.4mm nozzle.

0.2mm – 0.3mm layer height.

3 perimeters.

Print on its side (as is) — no supports.
