The McLaren MP4/6, Aryton Senna's championship-winning car from 1991, was born out of a passionate F1 fan's idea. The fan wrote to me about how my previous Senna model, the MP4/8, had moved him and reminded him of watching F1 with his son years ago. Now, he wanted to build an RC car so they could relive those old races together. Touched by this heartfelt letter, I decided to revamp my F1 lineup and create a new car that honored Senna's last championship win, featuring the iconic MP4/6 design. The MP4/6 boasts a similar setup as the Mazda, utilizing Tamiya's F104 rear axle, coupled with front suspension and a smart modular design. This innovative car also comes equipped with a rear LED light that flashes like rain, adding an extra layer of realism to your driving experience. With my advancements in design skills, I incorporated lofting techniques and new methods to create more realistic, curvy models. Both the MP4/6 and Mazda feature actual vents, ducts, and diffusers for added authenticity. To make assembly a breeze, manuals are included with both cars, and all holes come pre-treaded to ensure seamless construction.
