The delicate vessel mimics a human foot in a sandal, transitioning into a vessel neck, spout, and handle. The sole of the sandal is intricately crafted, while the lacing was likely painted and has not been preserved. Such vessels shaped like human body parts were used for storing cosmetic products. The production process was technically complex, and the ceramics showcase the high craftsmanship of ancient potters. This piece most likely originated from an Attic workshop.
