Aruba Networks AP Bench Stand
thingiverse
This is a customizable stand for Aruba Networks 802.11ac access points (205, 215, 225) that keeps them elevated off your desk to avoid damage or instability. The purpose of this design is to maintain order and organization in your home lab setup by keeping your access points safely above your workspace. In homes where ceiling mounting is not a possibility, this stand offers an effective solution. Please note that this stand is not intended for permanent installation. Instead, it's meant to provide temporary support and stability for your access point while you're working or testing. The original concept for this design drew inspiration from the Things project (521959), which serves as a solid foundation for our work here. Recent updates include adjustments made possible by curl and added friction guides to ensure a snug fit, thanks to improvements suggested on 3-15-2015. We've also taken steps to refine our model. By correcting and refining our original non-manifold file uploaded on 7-27-2015, we've ensured that our stand offers an improved and reliable experience. Printrbot users will find success with these settings: printing in Metal PLA at 3 perimeters with 20% rectilinear infill works well, but feel free to increase the infill density if more stability is needed. Adding a layer of felt to the bottom of your stand can help prevent it from sliding or shifting unnecessarily.
