Aruba Access Point Mounting Bracket
thingiverse
I designed this from scratch in Fusion360. A friend had an "Aruba IAP-205-US Wireless Network Access Point 802.11ac" and needed a secure way to attach it to a wall or ceiling. This mount can be used on any flat surface. The attaching screws go through the face of the mount, securing it to the surface, and then the Access Point is twisted into place on this mount. Update: December 11, 2019; I added a new STL file called "Main Body Rev2.STL". This design has more support and plastic to withstand heat when installed in a horizontal plane. The bracket locks securely in place, requiring considerable force the first time it's attached to the router. This design works fine when printed with PLA. Additionally, I'm leaving up the lightweight original version ("Main Body.STL") because it can withstand thermal loads if printed with PetG; however, PLA will deform over time due to heat. Update: September 1, 2019; If the old bracket is installed in a horizontal plane, the extreme heat generated by the Aruba causes deformation over time. A new version is coming that's less susceptible to thermal deformation. This design consists of two pieces for easy printing: a main mount and a centering pin. The centering pin may require glue, but mine didn't need it. If you find this helpful, feel free to buy me a cup of coffee or support the next project by donating at https://paypal.me/vivap2p.
