# Arturia KeyLab Key retainer Spare part for broken key retainers on Arturia Keylab 49 (probably applies to 25 and 88, too). Unfortunately the original retainers seem to brake after a while. The symptom is, that the keys are very bouncy and stand higher than others. Here's the spare part to extend the lifetime of your MIDI keyboard. **Important** Don't dump / remove the rubber ring that is attached to the original retainer - it must be reused! *Version* V9 ### Installation This is unfortunately not a 1:1 replacement for a part inside the MIDI keyboard. You'll have to disassemble the keyboard from the Keylab, remove the PCB and then check the broken retainers. You might have to remove some of the remaining plastic to make the new part fit. But be careful not to damage the screw holes for the PCB. ### Printing I suggest printing it laying on side (for stability of final part). For the direction of printing please refer to the pictures below. I was using 0.15mm layers. The 3D part has a hole for the keyboard mounting. It should not matter, you can use the retainer on all positions, not only there, where there's a hole in the bottom sheet metal.
