Artistes Miserables Card Game Storage
thingiverse
I sleeve my card games and the original box isn't big enough to accommodate sleeved cards. I knew this box would be stored vertically on a shelf, so I leaned into the "book" aesthetic. White filament for the tray and brown filament for the sleeve. I'm pleased with the results. The tray has three trays, one for each type of token the game uses. The token wells have curved bottoms which makes it easier to grab the tokens. The card well has notches on either side for easy access to the cards. During gameplay, you can just plop the tray in the middle of table, deal out starting hands, and put the rest of the deck right back in the tray. Storage and usability during setup/gameplay is one of my design goals. I got the logo by taking a photo of the cover, and cropping out unnecessary details. I loaded the resulting image into Inkscape and used it's "Trace to Bitmap" feature to export an SVG file. OpenSCAD opens SVGs natively, so it's a pretty easy process. All in, the print time was about 27 hours on my Creality Ender 3 Pro.
