To prevent joining the ranks of those with burned out cables and connectors, I take extra precautions to secure the cable tightly. Removing the cover is also crucial as it only hinders airflow to the motor and complicates service. This mount attaches to the card using existing screws in their designated locations, while the clamp requires two additional M3 nuts and two longer M3x10 or longer screws. To ensure a secure grip on the cable, I apply a small piece of tape on each side of the clamp. Additionally, I apply a tiny amount of dielectric grease to the end of the ribbon to shield it from corrosion that could cause a hot connection.
