Artillery Sidewinder X1 X Cover with Ribbon Clamp

These modern generation Sidewinders have a common problem for certain users: The ribbon on the X gantry fails after extensive use or improper assembly, due to the flex of the ribbon as the carriage moves back and forth, putting a twist or strain on where the ribbon is seated into the connector. This Artillery Sidewinder X1 X Cover with Ribbon Clamp can take the strain off that flex point. New Clamp piece with Strain-Reducing Flange at no extra cost!!! STRONGLY RECOMMENDED: A. Inspect and smooth the mating surface of the two parts, especially what will contact the ribbon cable. B. Coat the two surfaces or ribbon surface that will be clamped with a layer or Gaffer tape, electric tape, or duct tape to cushion the thin ribbon in the clamping zone, and... C. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Do not pinch the ribbon; a snug assembly of the two parts is sufficient. Ganked from designs by Venegade and AncientWolf. Mashup and flange by me.
