Artillery Sidewinder X1 (V4) USB and SD connectors sliding covers
thingiverse
This is a cover for the SD and USB connectors on top of the Artillery/Evnovo Sidewinder X1 V4 3D printer. It's inspired by the model from Danimod (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3834321). I wanted to not only cover the space between the connectors and the metal casing, but also be able to cover the connector themselves when not in use. So I designed this model with sliding covers. Assembly: First, check if the covers slide without effort in the cover holder. Next, use thin double-sided tape under the "cover holder" part to fix it to the printer casing and cut out the excess tape with an Xacto blade. Then, insert the sliding covers into the holder before final assembly. After that, clean the connectors surrounding area of the printer with IPA. Following that, align the assembled covers and holder over the connectors and fix them in place. Finally, check if the covers slide in and out. Warning: Check the dimensions of the connector holes on your printer as several casing models exist. If they are not exactly the same, you can change the parameters in the OpenSCAD source file.
