Artillery Sidewinder X1 Squash Ball Feet Dampener
prusaprinters

A dampener I made for the Artillery/Evnovo Sidewinder X1 that uses a squash ball to dampen the vibrations. I have great results with this and modest speed, jerk and acceleration, it allows me to print small zig-zags without it affecting the surface quality.

Requirements & Instructions:

You need 4 squash balls in total with 2 yellow dots, the hardest ones (SB 990). Print 4 of the dampeners and push a squash ball in the hole of each one. Now slide the dampeners over the stock rubber feet of the SWX1, that's it.

I made this in Fusion360 and I've added the source file so you can easily improve or modify the design to your needs.

Update 2020-06-26: I've increased the size of the hole, some people told me it didn't fit for them.

Print Settings

Printer:

Artillery Sidewinder X1

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.4 with a 0.8mm nozzle, 0.32 with a 0.4mm nozzle

Infill:

20%

Notes:

Print with the hemishphere pointing down, no need to rotate the model.
