Artillery Sidewinder x1- Spool holder width adjuster
thingiverse
- This is an adjuster add-on for the Artillery Sidewinder spool holder. - It keeps the spool holder frame fixed in place by pressuring the locking nuts. - Pressing between the two screws will enable the spool holder frame to slide. - Instructions: 1. Print this thing 2. Unscrew the two hex screws of the right frame (as seen from the front). 3. Temporarely fix the frame with tape, to prevent it from dropping on the bed and to keerp it alligned with the locking nuts. 4. Put the screws in the holes of the adjuster, notice that for ease of mounting, they will not drop out. 5. Align the screws of the adjuster with the holes of the right frame and screw in the bolts while applying pressure at the same time. A hexagonal screwdriver tool is easier to do this job than the tools which come with the printer. 6. Fully tighten the screws in the locking nuts first and then loosen half a turn so that the frame is still mounted sturdy enough, but the adjuster has space enough to let the frame slide. Once you found this thing working satisfactory apply glue to the screws to fix them or else you have to repeat this step when the frame becomes too loose due to use / machine vibrations. 7. Remove the tape. 8. For ease of use reach from the front under the X-bar. Press in the middle of the adjuster and slide the frame back and forth.
