Artillery Sidewinder X1 - Double spool holder
thingiverse
Hi friends, For me, setting up my Artillery Sidewinder X1 spool holder is quite a challenge. I initially used the Skinah spool holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3850399) which has an excellent design. However, in my opinion, a filament guide was missing from it. So, I designed mine and added support to install the end filament detector. It was smart of me to make it removable because later on, I found that the Sidewinder X1 detector wasn't compatible with my octoprint :(. Anyway, this design might be helpful for someone else. After trying two-color printing, I realized it's a great idea to have coils side by side to change quickly and easily. So, I reused and extended the Skinah roll to allow one (in the center or on the side) or two coils. And I adapted my filament guide for that. This is what you see here. Everything was printed without support. I filled 20% for the filament guide and the detector and 50% for the rollers. I reused the original m3 to screw the filament detector and 2 m3x8 for the filament guide. Hopefully, this will be helpful to you.
