I like the design of gerdfranz Gantry Support - thanks for that! especially he used a aluminum rod instead of a threaded one - me likes! some changes i made: -10mm Rod is now clamp-able (no drilling through the rod), chance to calibrate afterwards -reduced tolerances, so clampingforce reached earlier. -less parts to print, sturdier connection to the base (but drilling...) -minor design changes this upgrade increased the printquality a lot ATTENTION - Do at you own risk! You have to drill four holes through the sheetmetal housing. Please do not forget to unplug the mains of your printer. I can recommend to open the bottom and push the wires out of the way. you´ll need additional screws and nuts size M5, 2x D10mm Rod with est. 600mm lengh
