The Marinefährprahm, or naval ferry barge, was Germany's Kriegsmarine largest landing craft during World War II. The Artilleriefährprahm or AFP, a gunboat derivative of the MFP, was used for escorting convoys and shore bombardment. These ships were equipped with two 88mm guns and light AA guns for minelaying missions.
