Articulating Solder Fume Extractor (Tertial Lamp)

I created a remix of the Solder Fume Extractor by "sneakypoo". I used a $10 "Tertial" articulating lamp from Ikea, which allowed me to mount everything for my fume extractor in a clean setup that is easy to move around. In total, I spent $40.97. To modify the lamp arm, I only had to flatten the bracket out with a pair of pliers after removing the lamp. Assembly took less than ten minutes once the prints were completed. I chose a 120VAC fan so I could keep the lamp arm cord with switch in place. You could also use a high CFM 12VDC fan with a power supply. The only additional hardware I needed to buy were 2x #6 x 3/4" machine screws to connect the articulating adapter to the lamp adapter. These budget articulating lamps mostly use the same design, so you can likely use many different brands. The particular lamp I used was just $10 in store at my local Ikea. At first, I was worried about weight as the new setup was nearly 400g heavier than the lamp with bulb, but it has proven to stay exactly where you put it without sagging. This is a very easy print and thanks to the work that sneakypoo did, the whole setup makes for a great addition to my work area.
