Articulated Magnifier Lamp Spacer and Bulb Retainer
thingiverse
I salvaged an old magnifying articulated fluorescent lamp from years ago, courtesy of my trash-picking endeavors. Instead of relying on a standard clamp, this particular model employs carriage bolts and wing nuts through the base to secure itself to a tabletop via 10mm holes. At some point, the component that serves as the clamp for the wing nuts managed to slip away. To rectify this situation, I opted for an alternative design that not only functions better but also presents a neater appearance than the original scrap plywood solution when working with cables beneath my desk. The small clips responsible for retaining the circular bulb eventually gave out due to age and wear. Undeterred, I quickly fabricated a replacement using 3D printing technology, which takes approximately five minutes to complete, and it works seamlessly in place of the original components!
