I required designing an articulated camera mount for a Raspberry Pi Stop Motion Rig project, necessitating something simple and cost-effective. I thus created these hinges to fit standard 1/2"x24" Basswood pieces readily available at any hobby store. The design incorporates #10-24x3/4" screws that I already had on hand. Additionally, I included guides for managing the camera's ribbon cable. In my instance, I purchased a $3.00 basswood piece from Hobby Lobby and cut it into two 12-inch pieces. I glued these hinges onto the pieces and slipped my camera cable through the integrated slots, resulting in a fully articulated camera mount that is easily adjustable with thumb screws. These components can be combined and rearranged to suit individual needs, prompting me to share my design in case it facilitates creation of an articulated camera mount for others working on their Raspberry Pi camera projects.
