Articulated finger hinge for Raspberry Pi camera mount
prusaprinters
<p>I needed to build an articulated camera mount for a Raspberry Pi Stop Motion Rig project. I wanted something simple and cheap so I designed these hinges to fit standard 1/2"x24" Basswood pieces available at any hobby store. I designed them to fit the #10-24x3/4" screws I happened to have on hand. I also included guides to manage the camera's ribbon cable.</p> <p>In my case, I bought a $3.00 basswood piece from Hobby Lobby and cut it into (2) 12" pieces. I glued these hinges on and slipped my camera cable through the included slots and now I have a fully articulated camera mount that is easily adjusted with the thumb screws.</p> <p>These parts can be mixed and matched so thought I would post my things in case they helped anyone else create an articulated camera mount for their own Raspberry Pi camera projects.</p> <h3> Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>Prusa</p> <p class="detail-setting printer"><strong>Printer: </strong> <div><p>i3 MK2S</p></div>**Rafts:** No <p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div>**Resolution:** .2 <p class="detail-setting infill"><strong>Infill: </strong> <div><p>20%</p></div> **Filament:** [ ](http://www.amazon.com/s?url=search-alias&field-keywords=eSun+PLA&tag=thingiverse09-20)[ eSun](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=esun+filament&linkCode=ll2&tag=thingiverse09-20&linkId=ee95e18399f58ca8cf2c8c2b4b912c0c&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) PLA White <br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong> </p><div><p>No supports needed EXCEPT for the Star Knobs</p></div> Post-Printing ============= <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Three and Two bladed finger hinges work together in pairs.</strong></p> <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/40/3d/e8/2a/0c/20190319\_224950.jpg"/></p> <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Straigh blade versions for flexability.</strong></p> <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/7e/fc/8d/f2/cc/20190316\_104916.jpg"/></p> <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Star Knobs are the ONLY parts that need support!</strong></p> <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/ec/fd/5e/52/ff/20190317\_083723.jpg"/></p> <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Fixed Side Mount</strong></p> <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/3a/a6/9c/c3/8d/20190321\_072329.jpg"/></p> <p class="detail-caption"><strong>This sliding mount prints in place but will slide freely for adjusting you camera side-to-side.</strong></p> <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/68/cd/e9/df/36/20190319\_061320.jpg"/></p> <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Hinged Camera back/shade</strong></p> <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/f4/0c/72/79/72/20190319\_065337.jpg"/></p> <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Camera Cover snaps into Camera Back/Shade</strong></p> How I Designed This =================== <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Fusion 360</strong></p></p></p></p> Category: Electronics
