I didn't like the idea of printing the entire stand in its original vertical position because it left it vulnerable to weakness during the layering process. Print and glue the two halves of the post together using instant curing glue (available at Amazon), then add a couple beads to it at the base and let them dry before inserting into the base to ensure a snug but removable fit.
