Articulated Christmas Dragon
thingiverse
Hi everyone. I'm P1lotz and I am a Danish student, and I really like to make 3d models. This time I have made a Christmas articulated dragon, for Christmas. It is supposed to have a red stripe like a candy cane. I didn't paint all of them, but I ended up painting one. The dragon is inspired by a candy cane, a reindeer, and the ice dragon I uploaded to Thingiverse in May, which got a lot of positive feedback from all of you guys. The antlers on top of the head and stripes on the side can be painted in other colors, for example, brown and red, to make the dragon more Christmassy. The body moves freely around ✓ The legs move up and down✓ The tail moves freely around ✓ The head moves freely around ✓ The Dragon can be printed in one piece ✓ No support needs ✓ I have made 3 different variants of the model. A really long one, that takes around 16 hours to print, with 70 joints (two of them are double joints), and a little shorter one that takes around 12 hours, with 35 joints (two of them are still double joints), and a very small one, with 35 (and again two of them are double joints), that takes around 6 hours to print. The long dragon model is 56.5 cm long aka around 1 foot 10 inches in American measurements. The short dragon is around 39 cm long, so right around 1'3 feet. The extra small dragon is 27.5 cm long so around 11 inches in American measurements. The whole dragon is printed in one piece, so no need for glue and that kind of stuff. It also doesn't need support at all. video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sX7DNtmFutw&ab_channel=P1lotz resin video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgA__QBv9ZY&ab_channel=P1lotz The dragon is made in blender, (not the same as my smoothie tho). Feel free to upload your makes. I will really appreciate that. The model is fun to play around with, and I think you would like the feeling of the joints moving freely around in any direction. how to make your own dragon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flpUojhVc8M&ab I hope you'll have a great day. if you like this model, check out my other dragon models right here: https://www.printables.com/model/313127-articulated-ice-dragon-by-p1lotz https://www.printables.com/model/306338-blue-articulated-dragon https://www.printables.com/model/272149-articulated-rocky-dragon filament: White CR-PLA https://store.creality.com/de/products/cr-1-75mm-pla-3d-printing-filament-1kg?spm=..collection_0bb59cd2-5dea-4621-925e-900bcd072f82.albums_1.1&spm_prev=..search.header_1.1 This model is 100% made by me, and you can not sell it, and reupload it without permission from me (I'm probably saying yes anyways to the selling, but please ask me before you do it, or else I'm gonna report you).
