As the PrusaMini does not have a full frame, I had to solve two problems which I did not have with my Prusa i3 Mk3S and my Ender3Pro: Where to mount a good light and where to mount the camera. I decided to combine both problems and came up with getting one of the cheap desk lamps that are offered at Amazon from different suppliers under slightly different names.

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XX7JMYJ

These lamps come with a nice black frame of sufficient size, so they do not mechanically interfere with the printers parts, have adjustable brightness and even adjustable light tones (which sounds pointless for lighting a 3D printer, but I have to say it is kind of nice to have both warm and cold light depending on your mood, the seasons or whatever else drives you).

Now that I had a good light, I only needed to design an adapter from the lamp arm to the articulated camera mounting system, which I had already used successfully for the Mk3S and the Ender3Pro.

The cool thing about these lamps is that they have a quite long slot in the vertical part of their arm, which can be used to mount the adapter piece at almost any sensible height.

Printed in original Prusament orange PETG, the color scheme of the printer and the lamp with the articulated arm fit perfectly together.

Instructions:

Print the adapter part (which is actually identical to the part that I used to connect to the frame of the Ender3, hence the file name) and print the counterplate part. Use a M3 thread cutter to cut threads into the two holes of the counterplate. Push the counterplate into the slot of the lamp arm from the front side (yes, it is a bit of tight fit, I should have made it 0.1mm smaller, but I could get it in without using too much force). Attach the adapter plate from the backside and mount everything together with two M3x14 screws.

Now you can use all parts of the articulated camera mounting arm published already in my earlier post for the Ender3Pro:

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/33457-logitec-c270-articulated-arm-to-ender-3-adapter

Print instructions

Printed on the PrusaMini in Prusament orange PETG, but will likely work with any other material as well.
