Articulated Arms Toolset for PCB Workstation (FDM-optimized)
thingiverse
This toolset represents a significant upgrade to the original set of accessories provided with my "PCB Workstation with Articulated Arms" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:801279). Specifically designed to optimize Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing results, it addresses many common issues associated with this technology. The core component, "Ball and Socket Joint," has been enhanced for increased strength and durability. Its design allows for horizontal printing on the bed, preventing loosening of grip and breakage of small wings on the spherical socket (refer to project images). Each adapter has undergone revisions, incorporating a new hexagonal socket and resolving minor issues. To achieve optimal results, each piece must be printed in its original orientation, with rotation allowed only along the z-axis. Bridging and support structure generation should be enabled in your slicing software, and rafts are highly recommended.
