Articulated armor robot
thingiverse
Premise: this design is a fresh spin on an existing concept. I don't claim any credit for it - I simply gathered the various parts into one single STL, refining their distribution to optimize the overall structure. If you're looking for different hand designs, check out the base model I used as inspiration. All the necessary pieces to build the robot, minus the sword, are now grouped together in a single STL file with an approximate footprint of 15x15 cm. Both hands feature fists with holes. The arrangement of the pieces aims to minimize errors on the Z-axis by placing the tallest components near the center of the group and plate. This setup also maximizes extruding movements versus traveling head motions. The 1.1 update addresses a critical issue with the leg insert, which was previously missing and not properly aligned. Additionally, exporting the file through Blender instead of Cura has resulted in a significantly smaller size.
