So I decided to give the articulating design a try, sticking with the spring theme as my model. A caterpillar turned out pretty well for my first attempt, if I do say so myself. I recommend using a brim big enough to connect all his feet, since they're quite small. 6mm worked for me. 3.28.18 I created a second version marked with EZR, which has less of a pitch on the feet to help prevent warping and connected the feet to reduce them being easily knocked off in the first few layers. This version should also articulate even farther. I also added a small return under his head as there was a small area for a couple layers that just drooped there. I also created shorter and longer versions of the caterpillar design, catering to different print bed sizes. The short version is 5 inches long, the standard version is 7 inches long, and the long version is 9 inches long. These new files print much easier. I've tested them and uploaded new pictures.
