Reddit user opossomfeet requested that I develop this tool based on his initial concept, specifically designed to assist individuals with arthritis when opening bottle lids. I created two distinct designs: Type A offers improved comfort during use but is limited in its ability to accommodate various lid sizes, whereas Type B provides a wider range of applicability despite being less comfortable. However, the design encounters difficulties when attempting to grip metal-lidded bottles, such as those containing salad dressing. I speculate that printing it with flexible filament may enhance its gripping capabilities. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I lack direct access to individuals with arthritis who could test the design and provide valuable insights.
