Arthritis Assist Key Lever
thingiverse
This tool greatly facilitates turning any house or automobile key (including wider/thicker remote access keys), with arthritic fingers – by utilizing leverage in the same fashion as a wrench. The leverage is achieved by the length of the tool and the positioning of the key on one end of the tool rather than in the center in which way allowing it to achieve an optimal amount of leverage. The slotted design allows the tool to slip over top virtually any key as needed rather than being limited to a particular key permanently installed in such a tool. The thick, tall design allows even hands and fingers with the most restricted movement to fit around or against the side of the tool to enable its use – providing easy motion even when moving the tool against resistance. Production of this tool takes four hours and 15 minutes to produce when printed with 20% infill on an Artillery Sidewinder2 printer, and uses 43 grams (14.4 meters) – or just under 1/3 of a spool of filament.
