The Ponce Monolith or Estela 8, and the Bennett Monolith, are monuments associated with the Tiahuanaco Archaeological Monumental Complex, (Human Heritage by UNESCO since 2000).\nOriginally built by the pre-Columbian Tiahuanaco Culture, civilization that radiated its influence in what is now Bolivia's Plurinational Republic, Chile's Republic and Peru's Republic. It covered almost the entire high plain. Its religious center was Tiwanaku, on the shores of Lake Titicaca in La Paz department, Bolivia.
