After upgrading my Artemis CP2 5.5mm from 11.5 Joule to a 27 Joule little beast, the first thing I noticed was the noise. Much louder now and its logical because all other things being the same, the more powerful the airgun the more noise it makes. This design uses the original moderator threaded adapter that attaches to the barrel because having wider threads makes it more stable and parallel for increased accuracy. You can see the baffle order in the photo. After you temporarily glue all the baffles together you wrap them with a felt cloth and insert them in the tube as shown in the photo. Glue the top cup with a 2 part epoxy and use after 12 hours. Very effective, and reduced the noise by 8db @ 1 meter over the original moderator making it now sound the same as stock. Very quiet @83.6db but throwing lead with 27 Joules of energy. The accuracy was not affected at all, only the POI. I have not tried it on the stock CP2 setup but being already a quiet airgun I can imagine that it will make it completely mute. Be careful when you first screw the adapter on the moderator! Start counterclockwise and when you feel a click, then start clockwise. The adapter should screw in completely parallel to the tube. If you see a slight angle, start again. The adapter screws inside the moderator like a sleeve for a couple of millimeters for increased support and better fit. Screw the adapter really tight and then roll the moderator on a flat surface. If you see even the slightest wobble on the adapter, something went wrong. If you leave it like that you might have clipping and displacement of POI every time you reinstall it. Once you screw the adapter on the PLA tube, fit or remove the moderator only by grabbing the aluminum adapter. Throw some rounds firsts, before you zero your scope.
