ARTEMIS C-515 Mouse

This mouse is for the Stratasys & KeyShot Gaming Mouse render challenge. As a female designer and gamer, I chose to design a mouse inspired by Artemis the goddess of hunting and the wilderness. The ARTEMIS C-515 wireless gaming mouse utilizes both organic and geometric forms that culminate into a balanced design that emanates precision and finesse. The mouse features an asymmetric tilt that flows across the mouse which adds ergonomic comfort to right-handed gamers. The ARTEMIS C-515 also includes adjustable screws on each side for width customization. The front incorporates a semi-transparent grill that is backlit with RGB LEDs. In a market that is stereotypically excessive and overstated, the ARTEMIS C-515 stands out by applying a bold but approachable design language that delivers a mature and high-end gaming experience for all users.This is a non-functional concept for prototyping only. The assembly was created using SolidWorks and rendered in KeyShot 7, and the render backgrounds were created in Illustrator. All parts are solid bodies prepped for a 3D printed industrial design mock-ups. Many components in this prototype could benefit from the high precision and multi material capabilities of the Stratasys PolyJet 3D printers. This includes the semi-transparent material on the front, as well as subtle variable 3D surface textures projected on both sides.
