Artemis
myminifactory
Artemis was revered as a goddess of purity, innocence, hunting prowess, lunar cycles, and the untouched wilderness. This artwork is displayed at the Museum für Abgüsse Klassischer Bildwerke in Munich, which showcases an impressive collection of classical paintings and sculptures from ancient Greece and Rome. The museum's treasure trove includes stunning works of art spanning over seven centuries, from the 7th century BC to the 5th century AD. The core focus of this remarkable collection lies in masterpieces of Hellenistic sculpture dating back to the era of Alexander the Great and exceptional Roman portrait art from the late republic to late antiquity. While the original marble and bronze creations are scattered across museums worldwide, the museum proudly presents a vast array of plaster casts in two massive halls, each measuring 18 meters high and bathed in natural light. This piece is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking non-profit initiative spearheaded by MyMiniFactory. Through this project, we are tirelessly working to create a comprehensive digital archive of fully printable three-dimensional artworks, landmarks, and sculptures from around the globe, making them freely accessible to the public.
