The shade easily glides into its frame slot. To assemble: you'll need a threaded lighting box crossbar, a 1-1/4 inch threaded nipple, a 3/4 inch threaded nipple, four 1/4 inch nuts, one 90-degree 1/4 inch elbow, two 6-inch pieces of lamp wire, and the E12 socket itself.
