Recommended Setup for Best Value - A Cost-Effective Solution for FPV Enthusiasts The setup below provides an excellent balance of quality and affordability, making it the perfect choice for those on a budget. Key Components: Motors: The Emax Eco 2207 2400kV motor is a top-notch option that delivers exceptional performance at an affordable price point of around $40. Flight Controller and ESC: The Diatone Mamba flight controller paired with an ESC provides seamless integration and reliability, all for approximately $40. Camera: The Caddx Ratel 1.66mm camera offers crystal-clear visuals and is priced competitively at around $27. Video Transmitter: The AKK Ultimate VTX is a high-quality option that ensures smooth video transmission, available for about $20. Receiver: The Frsky r-xsr receiver provides reliable signal reception and is priced affordably at approximately $18. Transmitter: For the transmitter, I recommend investing in the high-end FrSky X7, which offers exceptional performance and features. While there are cheaper options available, the extra cost is well worth it for a premium flying experience. FPV Goggles: The Eachine EV800 goggles offer excellent screen quality and are an ideal starting point for FPV enthusiasts. They're priced competitively at around $50 and can be used as a spare pair or detached from the main goggles. About the Design I designed this printable FPV racing frame to provide a cost-effective solution for those who want to practice racing with good component protection and easy access to spare parts. The design ensures that the quad is as stiff as most carbon frames when printed with the right material, weighing in at an impressive 87g. To achieve optimal stiffness, I utilized 20% carbon PET at 100% infill. While I haven't experimented with other materials yet, this combination has proven to be highly effective. Crash resistance seems adequate, although I've only subjected it to moderate impacts so far. The frame's durability is evident in its ability to withstand repeated crashes without sustaining significant damage.
