Arrow Tail Fin Joiner (for RC Wings)
thingiverse
My buddy Glade crafted a sleek tail fin joiner from plywood and carbon fiber, a true masterpiece of engineering. We took the design to the next level by creating a 3D printed part that was not only easier to work with but also allowed us to set the angle for the joiner with precision and ease. This innovative design was perfected on the FliteTest Arrow model and can be scaled up for larger wings, making it an ideal solution for any enthusiast. The tube holes are designed to accept 3mm or 1/8th inch carbon tubes, which can be easily glued in place. Simply insert a barbecue skewer under the tail fin and secure it in the slot, then fit the carbon tubes into the wing and glue them firmly in place. The result is a sturdy and reliable joint that will withstand even the most intense flight conditions. Check out the FPV version of this incredible design in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g8G1_bZi8w Print Settings: Printer: Maker Select Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Post-Printing: The end result is a truly impressive flying experience, with the tail fin joiner providing a seamless and stable connection between the wing and the rest of the aircraft.
