Arrow satellite antenna mount

Arrow satellite antenna mount

This is a mount for installing an Arrow ham radio antenna on a horizontal cross boom. This can be used by amateur radio operators who want to use their Arrow satellite antennas with a rotator such as the Yaesu G-5500. The cross boom I used is sold as 1-1/4" fence top-rail. The mount clamps to the 3/4" square aluminum boom on the Arrow antenna. Common 1/4"-20 bolts and nuts are used to clamp the mount to the antennas and cross boom. I put the mount in place on the boom and fine tuned the antenna alignment. Then drilled the final hole through the cross boom and printed part simultaneously to ensure the holes lined up perfectly. I printed this part using carbon fibre PETG for increased strength with a 0.6mm nozzle. Common PETG or ASA may be suitable but has not been tested. I don't recommend PLA for this application. You'll notice I have my callsign embossed into the design - this was for my own amusement as I never intended to share the design publically. It should be possible to open the part in TinkerCAD and change the callsign to your own if desired, along with resizing for different boom diameters.
