Arrow Fletching and Nock Replacement

Taylor Dottley, a senior, teamed up with Kristen Casey, a junior, to create this model. Their inspiration came from the P.E. department's archery equipment, where they noticed that arrows frequently broke after use due to wear and tear. A teacher asked if it was feasible to design a 3D replacement for these worn-out arrows. After refining their design multiple times (approximately 25 iterations), Dottley and Casey finally succeeded in creating an exact replica of the arrow shaft with all dimensions precisely accurate. The homemade arrows now fire flawlessly, except when they accidentally hit a tree.
