Arrow Barrel Sleeve, for Crosman & Benjamin
thingiverse
For shooting arrows from a Crosman or Benjamin air pistol or rifle, these reducing adapter sleeves allow the installation of a 6mm OD arrow barrel into the breech opening. 1. Choose the .177 or .22 sleeve depending on your gun's caliber (bolt probe size). 2. Clean and sand the outer surface of the sleeve to fit the breech. Ream the inner diameter to snugly fit the 6mm tubing. Clean up the transfer port opening. 3. Insert the sleeve into the breech and check bolt closure. If needed, remove the sleeve and chamfer the inner breech end until the bolt closes and seals properly. I turned a Philips screwdriver bit against the sleeve opening until the bolt O-ring seated properly. 4. Apply epoxy and press the arrow barrel tubing into the front end of the sleeve until it bottoms against the inside shoulder. Remove excess epoxy before it sets. 5. After epoxy is dry, install the arrow barrel assembly into the breech in place of the existing pellet barrel. Line up the transfer port opening, if applicable, and file flats on the upper portion of the sleeve at screw marks if set screws stand proud. See https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3265230 for arrow barrel tubing specifications and additional parts. Benefits come from an upgraded valve and transfer port, as well as narrowing or removing the bolt probe tip to increase flow. Updated 12/8/2018: A new model is available with much less work required to fit the barrel and sleeve. If you downloaded the earlier version, discard it and use this new model instead.
