Arrow Antenna Tripod Mount System
thingiverse
This is a mounting system to mount an Arrow Antenna on a tripod. The use of inner and outer sleeves allows the antenna to be rotated approximately 90 degrees in either direction. Hopefully, it will prove useful to someone! Print the following: 2 x Outer Sleeves (no supports required) - 20% infill 2 x Inner Sleeves (no supports required) - 20% infill 1 x Stopper (no supports required) - 20% infill 1 x Base Plate (no supports required) - 30% infill - Lay this flat with the portion that the jaw grabs onto facing up. 1 x Phone Mount (supports required) - 20% infill (This mounting system is designed for a Samsung S4, an old phone I had lying around not being used anymore.) I use it to line up a satellite using an app called "Heavens Above" and helps point the antenna directly at the satellite and helps track it across the sky.) Assembly: 1. From your local hardware store find suitable nuts and bolts to secure the Outer Sleeves to the base plate. 2. Slide the stopper onto the antenna. This is a tight fit. May need to tap into place. 3. Glue 1 inner sleeve to the stopper. I also glued the inner sleeve to the antenna by pumping glue into the small space in between. 4. Glue the other inner sleeve to the antenna once you are happy with the position of the outer sleeves. 5. (Optional S4 Phone Mount) Press this onto the antenna in the location of your choice. This is a tight fit, no glue required. 6. Have fun!
