I grabbed my Granite BLX and examined its battered rear end, realizing that my imperfect landings were taking a toll on the rear shock tower. I figured my body still had some life left in it, so I crafted a protective extension to shield the shock tower from further damage. This makeshift solution would act as a sacrificial item for the rear shock tower, absorbing any impact and stress.
