Arrma Granite Front A-Arms 4x4 3S BLX
thingiverse
I replaced front suspension A-Arms for my Arrma Granite 4x4 3S BLX with these, and they might also work with other Granite models but I haven't checked yet. A beefier version is included that fills in the inner triangular holes to strengthen the part for 3D printing. After a week of owning my Arrma Granite 4x4 3S BLX, I took it to the local skatepark and put it through its paces. It held up well for about 15 minutes of heavy abuse but then my front right A-Arm suddenly gave out on me. I ordered replacement parts from Amazon immediately, but I didn't want to wait a full week for them to arrive so I could get back out there and bash. I printed one of the original style A-arms out of PLA and it held up fine for a small test session and a few cartwheels in my front yard/driveway. However, when I did a drop test from a few feet high directly on the A-Arm - a rather harsh test - it broke. I then printed the solid version out of Polycarbonate-ABS, and so far it has held up quite well to a number of hard tumbles, landings, and cartwheels. For best strength, I recommend printing these standing up on the long edge with the strut mounting hole side facing upwards. This will require support and should be printed at 100% infill. You'll likely need to drill out the holes slightly after printing so that the pins slide nicely into the arm. Hopefully this helps someone else get back up and running, even if only temporarily while they wait for replacements to arrive in the mail. If you print a set, please leave some feedback on how well they hold up - it'd be great to get some real feedback so I can make improvements if necessary.
