Arrma 3s ESC frame
thingiverse
My ESC broke loose after a lot of bashing, and the button joined soon after. This frame is designet to lock down the ESC on two points (base and fan), and increase air flow as this does not cover the air outlets at all. First off, original ESC cover needs to be removed and any traces of the stock ESC mountings need to be removed from the ESC. Original button attachment position may interfere with this, mine broke off so I did not design with that in mind. The good thing is this mod comes with a button cage as well, making the button more accessible anyways. The measurements should make the button assembly fit even with the stock pertruding screw hole plate, but again as mine is missing I dont know yet. It comes with two options. A barebone ESC frame with separate addon button cage, and a ESC frame with integrated button cage (Pictures are of the addon button cage). Optional top cover if you want to add a dust filter like me (recommended, my stock fan had lost 1.5 blades already). Notes for assembly: -You only need 4 separate screws, I recommend coarse threaded plastic screws over fine threaded machine screws, but m3 macine screws should fit. -Button are mounted with cable output facing backwards. ESC frame fits only one way over the ESC. -Print the frame parts laying sideways to get max hold in the stressed direction, and print top covers laying flat. -Supports are needed on the ESC frame with integrated button cage. -material should be some high strength stuff, I used PETG and have no trace of melting yet.
