Monument Lodz Army stands tall in Park Helenow, Lodz. This imposing structure was born on 23 March 1939 as one of Poland's bravest armies, joining the Polish Defensive War of 1939 with unwavering resolve. Its primary mission was to bridge the gap between Army Poznan and Army Krakow, securing a vital position in northern Poland. Under the fearless command of Juliusz Rommel, the army mobilized five swift infantry divisions and two agile cavalry brigades, bolstered by air force support.
