Armrest of the Throne of a Colossal Cult Image of Zeus (?)

Athens or Attica (Greece), acquired in 1877 Marble, circa 410 BC The uniquely shaped relief pillar is likely one of the few remnants of a Classical cult statue's throne. On the left, Aphrodite casually leans against a tree trunk. The front shows Zeus with his raised left hand resting on a painted sceptre, while on the right, Hera uncovers herself in front of her husband. This object is part of "Scan The World".
