Armoured Triton - Cut for better FDM printing
thingiverse
Because perfection eludes me (and I prefer printing in less than 8 hour increments), this is a version of woddish's Armoured Triton that can be printed flat on the bed of a 3D printer for minimal mess and support cleanup. Important Notes! - Four millimeter peg holes are embedded in the parts to facilitate easy alignment! Print out the four millimeter peg I've included repeatedly, and your tank will assemble effortlessly! - The "core" of the hull is almost entirely concealed on the finished tank, so feel free to print it at a .2mm layer height for speed. - Print the hull front and top lying down. I was in a hurry and didn't reposition them. - There are two versions of the tracks - complete, and halved - depending on your preference. Both may still generate a lot of support under the tracks (even if you print them sideways), which is frustrating to remove. It's probably better to slice them down the middle lengthwise and just conceal the seam, but I didn't do that. - This is only the parts that I need to re-cut - the remaining parts can be found in the original Thing.
