Armory for Scythe
thingiverse
This is the final building for the Scythe board game. When I printed the completed model initially, its edges curled up slightly, creating a pagoda-like effect. While this wasn't necessarily a bad outcome, it also didn't align with my desired aesthetic (at least not for non-Togawa factions). I created an alternate version where the little roof is detached as a separate piece, featuring a trapezoidal key to simplify its placement after printing. In fact, I think this split design looks better overall, mainly because it should be easier to paint. The Armory on the left in my photo with both versions features the original roof. This model was printed at .1mm layer heights using a .4 mm nozzle. While the roof and guns push the limits of what can be achieved with this nozzle size, I'm pleased with their outcome nonetheless. *7/13 Update:* I increased the central structure's size by 1.6 mm to make it more visible under the roof's overhang. I've posted a small photo gallery showcasing my Scythe upgrades on my blog at http://objectforge.blogspot.com/p/scythe-upgrades.html, so feel free to check it out if you're interested! If printing this yourself isn't an option, it might be available from one of my 3D Printing Partners listed at https://objectforge.blogspot.com/p/3d-printing-partners.html.
