Armie - Hands-Free Handle

Armie - Hands-Free Handle

thingiverse

Armie is a 3D printed hands-free handle solution designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by reducing contact with hard surfaces where the virus can live for up to 72 hours. This allows users to open doors and drawers without touching handles, significantly decreasing the risk of transmission. Armie fits most handle profiles but may not work on all types due to varying handle designs. To secure Armie properly, at least two cable ties are required. The device comes in left- and right-hand versions, matching the side of the door where the handle is located. Installation instructions can be found within the project folder. By using Armie, people can help prevent COVID-19 from spreading. If you have any feedback on how to improve Armie's design or functionality, please contact printcity@mmu.ac.uk to share your ideas with the PrintCity Team.
