This arm guard can be installed anywhere you prefer. Installing it with the arm guard between the motor and the arm will create a soft mount if desired, or simply a regular arm guard if not. This particular design is primarily intended for use with the Marmotte arm, but it should also fit the narrower Badger arm. I plan to adjust the dimensions slightly in my next print, reducing them by 1-2 percent to achieve an even tighter fit on the Badger arm.
