Armas de "Pacheco Sousa"
sketchfab
Armored shields on an oval platter, carved, hung on a wall, in the access to the sacristy of the Church of St. Joseph (Convent of St. Francis), in Ponta Delgada. They denote errors in heraldic ordering, namely the inversion of the elmo orientation and pieces in the shield field, indicating that the author probably based his work on a sigil matrix (seal or ring of arms). Sergio Avelar Duarte attributes a probable dating to the 17th century. The shield is divided into I. Pacheco and II. Sousa (of Prado). See Sergio A. DUARTE (2012); Stones of Arms (...), volume I; p. 127; Letras Lavadas (PDL)
