Arm v2 - step format
thingiverse
I modify the STEP format files based on the original Enable RIT prosthetic arm, making them ready for immediate use until new designs get approved. These files are specifically designed for those who already know how to fit and use the RIT arm correctly. Please note that I don't have any affiliation with the Enable organization. The new design is a major upgrade from the original, featuring a sleeker profile and weighing in at just 303 grams fully assembled. This version comes equipped with a whippletree adaptive grip mechanism, as well as a palm using knuckle curvature and thumb relocation for even better gripping performance. The elastics are divided into separate sections for customizable finger closure rates. However, using these files requires precise attention to sizing, which may need the assistance of a medical professional. By downloading these files, you accept full responsibility for fitting them properly and using them correctly. A comprehensive PDF guide listing my print settings and assembly instructions can be found in the Thing Files section. The files are available for download in STL format at: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1131463 The native SolidWorks 2013 format files can also be accessed here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1156821
