This is a custom 3D printed insert designed to work seamlessly with a standard ARLISS M fiberglass payload carrier featuring a 6-inch FG coupler, providing a reliable means of transporting and deploying multiple PocketQube S4 satellites. The total capacity within a standard ARLISS Classis M payload carrier is approximately 20p of S4 satellites, depending on the size of each satellite (1p, 2p, or 3p) and the chosen recovery mechanism. This innovative insert features three distinct modules. The first module serves as a base with a floor, while the second module stacks onto the first to effectively double its capacity. A third module adds an additional increment of capacity when stacked on top. To ensure seamless deployment, each of these three modules must be carefully printed separately and then aligned before being CAed in place. For optimal results, it is recommended that the interior of the deployment tubes be sprayed with silicone or teflon spray to facilitate easy PQ deployment. In addition to this insert, another 8p of satellites can be securely stored within a standard ARLISS M 6-inch nosecone for captive transport. To achieve the best possible outcomes, printing should be done using either an enhanced PLA or PETG material.
